These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the JobScribe iOS application. By downloading or using JobScribe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
JobScribe helps home-service businesses draft customer-facing messages using on-device smart templates and a business profile you provide. JobScribe is a writing aid. You are solely responsible for reviewing every draft before you send it, and for the accuracy, legality, and professionalism of anything you communicate to customers.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract and must use JobScribe for lawful business purposes. The app is intended for operators of home-service businesses (for example HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and similar trades).
3. Accounts
This version of JobScribe does not create a JobScribe user account. Your profile and drafts are stored on your device unless and until a later version offers optional sync, which would be covered by an updated policy and terms.
4. Subscriptions and billing
JobScribe offers a Free tier with limited drafts and writers, and a paid Pro subscription with additional features described in the app.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store.
- Prices shown in the app are set in App Store Connect and may vary by region.
- Where offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via the Manage subscription link in JobScribe Settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies.
5. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use JobScribe on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the app, or use it to send spam, fraud, harassment, or other unlawful content.
6. Your content
You retain rights to the business information and drafts you enter. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the app on your device. You represent that you have the right to use any customer contact information you store.
7. No professional advice
Drafts are templates, not legal, tax, licensing, or professional advice. Trade licensing, contract law, and consumer protection rules vary by jurisdiction. Confirm important terms with a qualified professional when needed.
8. Disclaimers
JobScribe is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that every draft is error-free or that the app will be uninterrupted.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobScribe and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost jobs, or lost data arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for JobScribe Pro in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if you only used the Free tier. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.
10. Termination
You may stop using JobScribe at any time by deleting the app and canceling any subscription through Apple. We may stop offering the app or suspend access if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law or Apple’s rules.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above and, when practical, by a notice in the app.
