JobScribe (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the JobScribe iOS app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers the JobScribe mobile application for iPhone. It is written for home-service business operators who use the app to draft customer messages.
2. Information stored on your device
JobScribe is designed to keep your work on your device. The app may store:
- Business profile details you enter (company name, your name, trade, phone, email, service area, license number, warranty terms, payment terms, sign-off, and preferred tone)
- Customer records you create (name, address, phone, email, notes)
- Drafts you generate and edit
- App preferences such as whether onboarding is complete
This information is used only to run the app for you — for example, to fill your company details into a proposal template. It is not uploaded to JobScribe servers, because this version of the app has no JobScribe backend.
3. Purchases and Apple
If you subscribe to JobScribe Pro, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple may share with us limited subscription status information needed to unlock Pro features (for example, that your subscription is active). Apple’s privacy policy applies to that processing.
4. What we do not collect
In this version of JobScribe we do not operate accounts, analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or crash-reporting services that send your content off the device. We do not sell personal information.
5. Smart templates
Drafts are produced on your device using built-in writing templates and the details you provide. Your job notes and customer information are not sent to a third-party AI service in this version.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Content leaves your device only when you choose to share it yourself (for example, using Copy, Share, Messages, or Mail) or when Apple processes a purchase.
7. Retention and deletion
Data stored by the app remains on your device until you delete it inside the app or delete the app. Uninstalling JobScribe removes locally stored profile, customer, and draft data from that device.
8. Children’s privacy
JobScribe is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes (for example, if a cloud sync or support backend is added). The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and material changes will be reflected in the app or on our website.
