Wayvo ("we," "us," or "our") is a social travel app for discovering experiences,
planning trips with friends, and keeping each other safe on the road. This Privacy
Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using
Wayvo you agree to this policy.
Information you provide
Account details — email address, username, display name, and an optional profile photo.
Content you create — posts, photos, stories, comments, trip itineraries, group chats, expenses, and votes.
Trusted contacts — names and phone numbers you add for safety check-ins and SOS alerts.
Travel details — bookings or confirmations you import to build your itinerary.
Information collected automatically
Location — when you grant permission, your approximate or precise
location is used to surface nearby experiences and to share your position with your
trusted contacts during an SOS or check-in. Location is used only while you are using
the app ("when in use"). You can revoke this anytime in iOS Settings.
Device & usage data — app version, device model, a push
notification token, and in-app events (e.g. which screens you open) for analytics and
reliability.
How we use your information
Operate core features: feed, discovery, messaging, itineraries, and your travel passport.
Send notifications you've opted into (a friend's overlap, a message, a safety alert).
Deliver safety features such as location sharing and emergency SOS messages.
Surface bookable tours and activities relevant to where you are.
Measure and improve the product, and prevent abuse.

Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your
account, we remove your profile and personal content from our systems within 30 days,
except where we must retain limited records to comply with law or resolve disputes.
Turn off location, notifications, or analytics in iOS Settings.
Request a copy of your data by emailing us.
Children
Wayvo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and
we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us
information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest where supported by our providers. No system
is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated"
date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
