• Health Information: Specific medical history, due dates, weight, blood pressure, or personal health records.
• Usage History: We do not link your scanning history or food queries back to your device or personal identity.

3. Information We Collect (Non-Personal Data)

We collect minimal, non-identifying data purely for operational purposes and service improvement:

• Food Input Data: The image (for the duration of the API analysis only) or text input used for the safety scan. This data is processed by the Gemini API and is not stored by NourishSure after the session ends.
• Device Data: Anonymized, non-linkable technical data such as device type (e.g., "iOS 17 iPhone"), application version, and network errors. This helps us monitor app performance and stability.

4. Data Processing (The Role of the Gemini API)

The core function of the app relies on Google's Gemini API for vision and intelligence.

• The text and image data you submit for analysis are sent securely to the Google API endpoint.
• The API uses the Search Grounding Tool to provide current and accurate medical safety advice.
• The data transmission is temporary and used solely to generate your immediate food safety report.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
